Re: 1998 v70 GLT
Some free things to do (maybe you've already done these) - Inspect every inch of vacuum lines, also listening for sounds of leakage. - As mentioned previously, clean the cap and rotor contacts with emory cloth or similar, or scrape carefully down to clean metal. - See if you can locate broken wiring...

Re: Sluggish off the line and worse in hot weather
1. Be sure your timing belt marks are spot on. Mine was 'detuned' for nearly 6yrs when indy mis-installed it 2 teeth off and turned it into a dog. Tooks years to make the connection. Done. Before I set the new motor in place I notice they weren't spot on. They are now 2. If it's very hot there, you...

Re: Sluggish off the line and worse in hot weather
The only "electrical" i could think of is underpowering the coil or something like that but I realize that's a reach. It was running fine before trans drop #2. I will check the shift cable. I was very careful to mark exactly where the bracket was bolted but I hadn't thought of that thanks....

Sluggish off the line and worse in hot weather
Can’t figure out what’s going on. Starts and idles just fine. Drives and shifts fine. But there’s just no real power until about 3000rpm. A while back I posted my saga of lower engine noise, and decided to swap in a lower mileage motor instead of trying to rebuild. Got it all back together and drove...

What really gets me is that I didn’t even think to do those seals when I had the damn thing off the motor. Rookie mistake.

Re: All of a sudden she started making this loud knocking/tapping
I did see that, after I purchased something called blue devil, which got far more good reviews than bad. The website says it takes 100-200 miles for it to start working, so today I took it for a nice drive in the country, and probably had to add 2 qts in the 65 miles I drove. It’s getting sling on t...

Re: 98 S70 parting out
Well I’d be curious to know if you feel like going to the work of measuring and the details of figuring out shipping. If not I understand. Around here there aren’t many decent parts cars let alone nice door cards.

Re: 98 S70 parting out
I shudder to think what shipping would be, but I would love those front door inner panels. Any chance shipping is free to 29414 :D I can certainly look into it. Shipping could be free for the right price😄 lol I figured. Sometimes a guy gets lucky with a seller who can abuse his UPS label priveleges.
