Re: 2001 Volvo S80 T6 Spongy Brakes
Thanks for the comments. I forgot to list the Front Hoses are new. I have a new (used) ABS Controller with the aluminum distribution block and plan to swap it out this weekend. Will the ABS controller work or must I use my original one? If so, should I send it out for repair? I do not have any light...

2001 Volvo S80 T6 Spongy Brakes
My brakes are spongy but they stop... eventually. Firm when pumped up with engine off. Soft when engine is started. I have replaced the following: (1) Flushed and bled system with power bleeder - no change. (2) New front rotors, pads, hoses - no change. (3) New Master Cylinder and power bleed - no c...

Re: Tires rubbing wheel well cover
I had the same problem. My tires are Michelin Pilot Exalto.
We treid 1" spacers on the front wheels and the rubbing problem is gone.
Tested by turning the steering wheel lock to lock and no rubbing.
More agressive look too.

Re: Xemodex ETM and Idle Problem
Update: (1) No reply from Xemodex concerning email I sent. Not good. (2) No reply from 42+ reads. I understand. I didn't have an answer either, hence the post. (3) New code reader found P1238 - Turbo Control Valve. Replaced in 5 minutes once engine was cool. 1 electrical connector and three vacuum h...

Xemodex ETM and Idle Problem
2001 Volvo S80 T6 with 262,000 Miles Xemodex ETM replacement at 200,000 Miles Car now exhibits erratic idle at times and will buck and stall. Other times it functions properly. No engine codes with code reader. Obviously no MIL on. When RPM's are above 1,500 everything seems OK. Power seems Ok. Adde...

Re: How to reset Alarm Service message?
Most liekly it is your Alarm Module Battery. The battery leaks and corrodes the circuit board. You need to replace the entire module. Look for a post describing how to do it. Pats.com is the place to buy the module if you do it yourself.

Re: XeMODeX ETM- Who has had it done?
2001 S80-T6 ETM replaced at 99,997 miles by dealer with yellow Sticker type. ETM lasted until 222K miles. Did not fail completely but cut off twice, bucking, surging, touchy throttle, poor performance in general. Rest of engine in good shape. Never had an ETM related code. No other engine codes pres...
