Bill, from your experience with Volvo, do the part numbers prove the airbag will not interchange? Just wondering if I should continue. Need to know if a 2005 passenger dash airbag will interchange with a 2004 passenger dash airbag?

Bill, Thanks for your prompt reply. These are exactly the first things I tried. I tried to unlock and lock the doors with the remote. The remote did not work. It worked before disconnecting the battery. I then lock and unlocked the drivers door with the key. This also did not remedy the problem.

I have an 2004 XC90 T5 AWD 7-passenger, 64k miles, black with oak interior, good vehicle. I disconnected the battery cable to remove the CD player that had a stuck CD.
