Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
Still loosing oil. Checked the codes and got a P1237 (Manufacturer control fuel air metering) and P0300 -Pending (Random/ Multiple cylinder misfiring detected) This was the first time I checked the codes since I got the car. I drove it a few miles and the triangle in the middle of the dash stayed on...

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
Have it back together and drove a couple of times. Still smokes, but a lot less than it did before. I figured that was from all the oil in the system from before (turbos, exaust, intercooler exc..) But after driving for awhile the oil light came on.

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
I'm going to put it back together this weekend, put some sea foam in the oil and then change it to hopefully clean out any more sludge in the engine. Sprayed throttle body cleaner on the throttle body intake manifold and on the valves to try and clean those up a bit. Hope this fixes it. Purchased th...

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
I think you were right. Have the oil separator off. I stuck my finger in the hole that you have circled. Well, stuck it unto a bunch of gunk. Have it cleaned out now. Do I need a new separator or can I just clean the old one?

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
It says to clean the PTC, how do I get the PTC out of the air intake tubing with out breaking it? Does it turn a certain way or do I just pull on it? I pulled and turned a little but I don't want to break it if theres a certain way to get it out.

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
I'm leaning towards the PCV system. I removed spark plugs, didn't do a compression test yet but all of them had been burning oil. If it were leaking oil into all cylinders via the head gasket it wouldn't be able to make enough compression to run. My air intake has oil in it before the turbos. The oi...

Re: Repair Manual
Well I went to pick up my chilton manual, and it was the Do it yourself, generic manual that goes over basics for someone who was just starting on cars and wanted to change the oil and such. Not what I was looking for.

Re: 1999 S80 T6 Burning oil
I also wonder if its one or both of the turbos leaking oil. I pulled the plastic air intake that goes over the engine off and it has oil inside of it. Haven't pulled the plugs yet. Anyone ever heard of this? Car has 165k miles on it.
