I've read that the pcv box can be removed without taking the accessory bracket off if you have a special tool. Do have any info on that?

do you know if a plugged pcv system will be noticeable in the way the engine runs/feels?

thanks. the s80 smell is definitely from oil. I'll try the auto rx first but what about the pcv? I'm pretty sure it needs to be cleaned. Does the auto-rx have any effect on that? Interesting about the smell of the hot maple syrup. I also have a '04 v70r with no problems excepts this nasty smell only...

the clicking noise is louder that the normal clicks that it had when it was new.
