1995 850 T5R No Start, No Spark, No Dashlights
I am starting a new thread for my T5R problem since I have changed my thoughts of what my problem may be. I had posted that I had a fuel issue. The car died and sat for many months. I installed a new battery. The engine cranks, but no start. I had no sound coming from the fuel pump and I had jumped ...

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
Alright, I'm going to do some more research to find out which fuses are for the immobiliser.
I didn't think about the ignition because I was sure it was a fuel issue. I'm going to order an ignition switch right now. Is that the same as the ignition lock?
I will update you once it's in.
Thanks

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
OK. For Misha.. The engine does crank. I installed a brand new battery. I read all the fuse descriptions and none of them mention an immobiliser. I locked and unlocked the doors with the key. I don't have a fob. I believe the car has the factory alarm, but I haven't had a functioning fob in years. I ...

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
OK. So I know the little red light you're talking about. I always wondered what it was. I just checked for it and there is NO light. I also noticed that when I turn the key, there are NO lights on the dash cluster. Nothing. Typically, it will light up when you turn the car over and then they go away ...

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
I replaced the entire fuel pump assembly. Also, I just looked at the #1 fuse and it was fine. I see the master fuel injection relay. Any suggestions on how to test it? Can I bypass it somehow?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
I don't think it's a wet sensor. The car stopped running six months ago and has been sitting ever since. If it got wet, I'm sure it would have dried out by now.

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
OK. I pulled the wire that comes out of the coil and sat it next to the opening. It was at night so I was hoping to see a spark jump to it. None! So it looks like I have no spark and I'm sure the fuel pump is not kicking in to prime the line. I am going to research the forum for posts on cam or ...

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
I haven't actually tested the relay, but I did the "bypass with a paperclip" trick, twice. Once before the new fuel pump and once after. I also did check the #2 fuse. The fuse was fine. grrrrrrr.

Re: 1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
I will try that. But I have the fuel pump still exposed in the trunk and I can't hear anything. No hum like it's priming the line.

1995 850 T5 No start, possible fuel issue??
My daughter was using my T5R about six months ago and it died. I had it towed home and there it sat, until now. I put in a new battery and cranked it up. No good. I don't hear the fuel pump coming on (had this replaced about 19 months ago with a used one because I was on vacation). I jumped the ...
