Re: Engine Is Losing Mid-rpm Power, but doesn't stall or any
I think I fixed the problem. My airbox thermostat was stuck on hot air, so I jammed a 10mm socket in there to keep it on cold air. That took care of the loss of power. The only thing is that when I'm going full power it shifts a little harder than it used to. But that's only under full power.

Re: Engine Is Losing Mid-rpm Power, but doesn't stall or any
Now that I think about it, the exhaust pipe bracket right behind the bumper broke off about 6 or so months ago. "Tsquared" said it could be an exhaust restriction. I've tried supporting it with coat hangers, zip ties, bungee cords, you name it. But after a while the heat would burn right t...

Re: Engine Is Losing Mid-rpm Power, but doesn't stall or any
I would try another fuel filter. Yours may be clogged. Replace the fuel filter? It's only about a year old. And I got it from FCP Groton. Age is not the issue. If it is clogged there will be no-flow but it can have a diminished flow. The cat test mentioned by others - how did that go? The problem y...

Re: Engine Is Losing Mid-rpm Power, but doesn't stall or any
I did a regular tune up a little over a year ago: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter. Other things I did around that same time: camshaft position sensor, ignition coil, fuel pressure regulator, rpm sensor. Everything was good until about 3 months ago. I also changed the fuel pump rela...

Engine Is Losing Mid-rpm Power, but doesn't stall or anythin
I have a 1993 850 GLT This problem has been going on for a few months now. I thought it would go away with higher grade gas, but that's not the case anymore. I'll try to explain the best I can. I might make a video of it tomorrow if I remember. Last summer the car started losing power when I floored...

Re: Electrical Problem following manual tranny swap.
I had somewhat of a similar problem with my 93 850. Everytime I checked the codes it said the crank sensor was going in and out. The whole wiring harness has to be changed. The camshaft sensor is the same way, if the computer doesn't know where the cam is, it won't send any spark. Make sure to check...
