Thanks Bill, I don't have any issues or play in the bearings. I did as you suggested and pushed/pulled on the tires with the car jacked up. I checked with a Volvo mechanic yesterday and he told me the same thing. I'm just used to repacking or changing the bearings when I change rotors on other cars.

Turns out it was the battery cables. They were finally able to duplicate the stalling and saw that there was a drop in current between the battery and the fuse box. Replaced both the positive and negative.

I changed the MAF sensor and the car still stalls. Next step is to have a Volvo Technical Rep look at it.
