Sorry I can give no help
I'm having the 100% same problem with my 1987 240 wagon. At first I was thinking it was the in-tank fuel pump gone bad.......but now I'm not sure (because I put a full tank of gas in the car and still the hot starting problem.)
This problem started late late last summer ...
