The directions for the 850 read dip switch #2 on and all others off. If this does not work, then dip switch #3 on and all others off. The green light comes on and stays on as soon as I plug it in.

Draper tool problems
I purchased a new Draper tool to reset the service light after an oil change. When I plug it in to the data port on the console, the green light comes on immediately. I tried the DIP switch #2 and the #3 in the on position as described in the directions. Did I get a bad tool or am I doing something ...

I purchased the draper tool for my 96 850 and it does not perform as directed in the enclosed instructions. The green light comes on as soon as I plug the draper tool into the port on the console. Any ideas? The green light never blinks or goes out, even with the ignition on and back off.
