Re: "Transmission Service Required" message
:( You might see below, that not too long ago, I took out my ABS/STC computer module, and shipped it out to Victor Rocha for repair. Thank you Victor, I put the rebuilt ABS/STC module back into my '99 S80, and the ABS/STC lights went out.... problem fixed for under $175 vs. Volvo Dealership of $930...

Free ETM software available yet??
I was just wandering if the "FREE" software for the ETM, that was suppose to be available at the first of this month, is available yet? My dealer knew nothing about it when I asked them Friday. I have a few things for them to do to my car and was wanting to have it all done at one time, FR...

S80 suspension delima!!
I have also had these suspension problems on 3 Volvo's. I have spent a considerable amount of money replacing some of the same parts you have mentioned but problems persists. I would describe the sound as a broken spring mattress. I don't know if I told everyone, but my problem was the left rear su...

2000 S80 T6 transmission making noise going into 2nd
I have a 2000 S80 and after first start up or after it has sat untouched for 3 or 4 hours, the transmission just started making a sound like a quick mettalic buzz going into the first shift only(2nd gear). It only seems to do it once after a cold start up and doesn't do it once it warms up. Does any...

Once and for all, Do I need to change Tranny fluid?
I have a 2000 S80 T6 with 126K on it and I'm sure the fluid has never been changed. The color of the fluid is a light brown, about the color of new motor oil. Is this the color it is suppose to be and should I worry about changing it? The dealer wants $199.95 to flush the tranny.

Re: Cat Converter
Picked up a 1999 S80 for my daughter last week. It has 92,000 miles on it. Had it smogged and it passed with flying colors. About 40 miles after the test the P0422 code popped up. Three of the four O2 sensors were replaced about 4 months ago. At first we thought it might be the 4th sensor on Bank 1...

Puddle of oil, from oil trap?
I was told by the dealer a few days ago that my oil trap oring was leaking. I was going to order one and get it fixed by my mechanic in a few days. I started my car this morning to let it warm up for a fewn 10 minutes and saw that a paper plate size of oil had leaked from around the front of the eng...

Changing spark plugs and wires?
I'm going to change the spark plugs on my 2000 S80 T6 and wanted to know if I should change the wires also as preventive maintenance? Does it have regular plug wires or something different? What are coil wires, is this what I'm wanting instead of wires or should I even mess with them?
