Changing spark plugs and wires?
I'm going to change the spark plugs on my 2000 S80 T6 and wanted to know if I should change the wires also as preventive maintenance? Does it have regular plug wires or something different? What are coil wires, is this what I'm wanting instead of wires or should I even mess with them?

MVS user White850Turbo says Bosch wires aren't good, so if you do go for new ones I'd get a second or third opinion before buying those.
Wires I actually wouldn't replace unless they were visibly bad, or arcing to the block. To determine this, run the car in a dark garage (garage door open for safety!) and look for an electrical arc from wires (positive +) to the engine (negative -). If this is happening you'd probably notice rough idle also.

the T6 has what i think they call a distributorless ignition system if i remember right, it has coils instead of plug caps and tires... so there are really no wires to change, i just changed the plugs two days ago on mine and the plastic tubing that covers the coil wiring was all dried and litereally would break into dust in your fingers so watch out for that, don't want it all falling into your cylinder
