According to the Volvo workshop manual the brake caliper sliders should be lubricated. Every other brake caliper slider for whatever car seems to recommend silicone grease. What do people suggest is best?

AC only blows cold air on driver's side, passenger side continues to let warm air into the cabin. Blower fan works and hot air can be blown to both sides. Is there a common problem with the manual climate controls?

I have marked the two camshaft pulleys, if the marks are aligned separately are they sure to be in sync?

I have changed the water pump on my 2001 v70 2.3, unfortunately the cam sprocket and crankshaft have been moved. How can I ensure that they are re-set correctly?

The air con pulley has seized on my 2001 V70 causing the auxiliary belt to snap. Is it possible to put a different belt on that omits the ac compressor pulley, to save on a costly ac repair? If so what size/part number?

Thanks for reply, I'll try and clean up the connections and meanwhile price up the light kit at the salvage yard.

My rear brake lights both fail to come on when the pedal is depressed. The high level LED brake strip works, the bulbs are new and the fuses seem fine. Anyone got any ideas what I could try to sort this problem?
