DRL's
Searched a little bit about turning them off and I noticed a bunch of people giving the OP's a hard time about it being a "hazard" and whatnot. ANYWAYS, I don't always need my DRL's and sometimes I switch it to the corner lights and I'll forget to switch it back and they don't turn off whe...

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
Well got it to the mechanic...replaced the timing belt and the tensioner, all is well (or almost) since she starts/runs, but I get a P0011 and it still takes a few cranks to get it started and it is rough for a few minutes after turning on.

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
Yes - the timing belt not being tight is a huge issue. What an interesting coincidental failure.(If its the timing belt) . You may have suffered a timing belt failure. If so the intake valves are bent and the car will not start. It will not throw codes and will carbon up the plugs. Remove the timin...

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
Also, I don't really know if it's me or what, but lets say I try to start the car twice...the speed at which I can hear it starting seems to be different each time. I keep feeling like the second time is faster, but it never catches. *EDIT* Well we had our friend come by again to check out what else...

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
Some have reported and issue with the CEM central electronic module. They report that pulling the CEM fuse allows the car to start. may be worth a try - and its free If I pull the fuse for the "Central electrical module, interior courtesy lights, and progressive power steering" my horn an...

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
I had an emissions notification before, but either way...why wouldn't my car start by now? I keep thinking maybe it has to do with the MAF or something, but wouldn't that have to do with the car not getting fuel? I have fuel and pressure, but the spark from the ignition coil seems to be whats wrong....

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
No orange triangle...all the only lights I have are an airbag light and a check engine light. I recently got my oil changed about 2 or 3 months ago, and haven't used that many miles on it since then

Re: I desperately need ideas to get my car running
I plug it in and have it at the pos2...it says "communicating" and then after a few seconds switches to saying "reading codes" which then leads to a "no codes found" and then something about it passing

I don't get it...why won't it read right?
