@Urbex Thank you, It did not keep turning till it stopped, but it has turned about 3/4 of a turn. I just spoke with my local Volvo mechanic and he said it can be re-aligned easily later and I am going to take the balancer all the way off and continue with the tear down... Thank you again

Im sorry but my terminology was off. What I was referring to was on page 4 of this tutorial paragraph 9. The harmonic balancer. It was locked so I could remove the bolt (counter clockwise) but when i tightened the puller to take it off it turned clockwise..?
