ETM and or accelerator pedal issues.
Hello all, I suddenly had no throttle response from my car while driving to work one day. I limped home and my mechanic told me I needed a new ETM, I called XeModEx and got a repair/rebuilt one for my 2001, Base Wagon, 2.4L. It had the white label throttle body and I supplied XeModEx my VIN and I un...

Re: ECC climate control temp sensor measurements made easier
Hi jreed, Is it possible the damper motors are the culprit? Maybe have a look at this.

Re: climate control is acting out
"Also, I was told that operating the heater fan at the lower output levels was bad for the unit because of the resistance that builds up in the blower motor....the heater should be on at "full blast" until the cabin warms up and then be shut off. " This makes zero sense. Any brus...

Re: climate control is acting out
An update is necessary. After one month of intermittent operation the blower motor finally died. When I got to the blower motor itself, the cage was very hard to turn. The power stage had a "frosted" appearance to it which told me it was gone as well. I replaced both and everything was goo...

Re: codes pulled are any serious?
Every time I disconnected my battery I saw that code, I bet if I check my codes it is still in there...however I don't worry about it. If your vehicle runs normally with a new battery then it is safe to say you won't be in the market for a new ECM. Does this code come on when power is constitutively...

Re: 850 transmission with battery dying
I had a similar experience with a faulty alternator, cars act weird when they don't get what they want...electrically.

Re: codes pulled are any serious?
I had A 235 for a while, as far as I understood it was a meaning less code unless the battery is bad. If the battery is good then all should be good. That code popped up whenever I disconnected the battery, it should go away after the codes are cleared.

Re: climate control is acting out
Thank you gentlemen for the help through your responses! The fan motor appears to be back to its operational state. I previously thought the codes would be cleared by disconnecting the battery but was advised to the clear the codes through B1, which I did. All the codes went away except two, 231 and...

Hello , I have a 1994 850 Turbo Wagon, heat does not work neither does the defroster. I have electronic climate control and I have retrieved the following codes: 135 No signal from engine coolant temperature sensor. 231 Ventilation damper motor position sensor open circuit or shorted to 12 volts 233...
