Hi, any ideas on why my instrument gauges become erratic as the day temps start going up. All good first thing in the morning.

Hi, had a problem today with the car cutting out when coming to a stop. 98 V70 5sp non turbo with 165k. O2 sensor replaced at 80k/8 years ago. Will idle and rev no problem when cold. I had exactly the same thing happen on my 98 V70 5 speed. The mechanical tensioner crapped out and the belt walked off the cogs through the plastic cover. I ended up having the head redone, 4 bent valves and replaced everything connected to the TB. All good now, cost a bit but the car only has 130k ...
