Re: 98 S70 t5 missing after replacing cps., P0300 etc

Runs fine with the MAF sensor unplugged. Just reduced power. Looks like I need a new one. I'm actually surprised it runs as well as it does without the MAF plugged in. Just drove it 550 miles today.

Re: 98 S70 t5 missing after replacing cps., P0300 etc

Still havent made it back to check the codes again. Earlier today I drove it about 8 miles & when I went to leave it wouldn't start. It would act like it would try to run, & then just stall as it did the one time before. It was acting like it wasnt getting fuel so I cycles the key a couple t...

Re: 98 S70 t5 missing after replacing cps., P0300 etc

What's strange is that it hasn't thrown anymore codes for the maf. Also it only misses like hell around 1800 rpm.

Re: 98 S70 t5 missing after replacing cps., P0300 etc

I don't remember the brand name off the top of my head. It was an autozone one with lifetime warranty. I'll try that tomorrow if that code is back when I scan it. I guess it could be the plugs acting up. I think ill pull some & see how they look. I was thinking about it & I have put about 30...

98 S70 t5 missing after replacing cps., P0300 etc

My car has always seemed like it would have a small miss while driving. It would only do it maybe once or twice in a 100 mile trip. Last week it started missing very badly & i stopped to turn it off & it would not start. It had fuel pressure & after I moved the spark plug wires around &a...

Yes. Just call the dealer with your vin# & they will give you the 4 digit code to unlock the stereo. If they try to charge you tell them to eat one & call another dealer. The spokane, wa dealer has helped me with mine free of charge.

Re: 98 S70 RR door lock stuck.

Well I got the door open today. It looks like I might need a new doorlock/ latch mechanism sine it seems to be seized in the lock position. Can anybody tell me why this thing has 2 electrical plugs going into it? I know one is for the power lock(It has 12v when hitting the lock/unlock button.), but ...

Re: 98 S70 T5 smoking heavily & puking oil!

Yes this was definitely the problem. Before I also used the same viscosity oil. 10W30 Fully synthetic. Since the repair I have put almost 1000 miles on the car & there is now no smoking or oil consumption so far (knock on wood. LOL), even after hard acceleration.
