That year model had an option for a dealer added sat radio. The controls are in radio and it is fully integrated but it takes a module that goes in trunk and a sat radio "puck" antenna on the roof just in front of rear glass on roof. I don't know if the same thing is available aftermarket...

Thanks for the great info - I bought this car used (err, I mean pre-owned), what would I be looking for if I wanted to check to see if this module is already in place. Can this installation only be done by the dealer, or would a shop that works on Volvos exclusively be able to do it. Thanks, again.

I have a 2006 S60 with the HU-850 Premium sound system. How can I tell if it is capable of receiving satellite radio (with a paid subscription). Is there anything I can do to make the system compatible if it is not already. I was hoping I wouldn't have to hook up an external satellite radio.
