How do you find the New price of an older model??
This has been bugging me for quite some time now because no matter how I word the search, I can never seem to find an answer to this question, "HOW do you find what price any particular vehicle sold for when it was new?" Beyond simple curiosity, I'd really like to know just how my state (I...

Re: Grinding noise when turning at high speed
JB, I believe it is coming from just the left front wheel - thanks so much for the advice and I'll post the results from the repair job once it's a done deal.

Re: A/C starts off cold then blows warm
Count me in, I've got the exact same problem on my 2007 S40 w/108,000 miles. Since I can't afford a $1000 - $1500 replacement, could some please elaborate a bit on where to find the aforementioned shim and how to remove it? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: Grinding noise when turning at high speed
Thanks for the info jb ;?D So since I probably can't fix that myself, how much do you think that might cost to repair? Just need to figure whether or not I'll need to mortgage the house, lol. Oh yeah, also is that something that needs to be repaired ASAP or can it wait a few weeks??

Re: Grinding noise when turning at high speed
Okay, I lied, lol. It is making noise at slower speeds, I just couldn't hear it when the problem started a few weeks ago, but now I can (just had to turn the radio down, lol). So basically you can hear this noise starting at speeds as low as 10 mph. Someone suggested that it might be CV joints, but ...

Re: Volvo S40, 2009, dark blue for sale
I think it's a scam. First off, as previously stated, there's no way this S40 is either a 2009 or a 1999. Then the guy claims to be from the USofA but lists kilometers instead of miles, so he's either Canadian or from some other part of the world. He calls himself Mr. Wales Stroud, yet in one of his...

Grinding noise when turning at high speed
I have a 2007 S40, standard tranny w/108,000 miles, located in Iowa. I noticed a grinding noise that sounds like metal on metal (similar to what brakes sound like when the pads are gone) when I turn even the slightest bit (left or right) which is only audible at or above around 40mph, but is much mo...
