My car is Non turbo.
Couple of things I found was
1) In last oil change, shop put in only 5qts, while my car usualy takes 6 qts.
2) I saw too much oil behild Flame trap, but it was not something which can consume 2qts,
3) definately motor is not burning any oil.

I have a Nissan Maxima, and the problem you have mentioned (stalling & Rough idle) are very common on 4th Gen Maxima's.I can tell from Maximas point, some one knowledgeable like MIJ can confirm if they apply to Volvo

I opened my volvo's (850) hood after 2 months and found no oil in motor oil dipstick. Paniced I put in a qt of oil and oil level came up above Min on dip stick but within 15 minutes, dip stick was again bone dry!!!
I had oil change about 1500 miles back, I don't see any oil in driveway, i don't see ...

Have you done tuneup lately?

Sounds like fuel supply pressure is not continuous.
If you haven't change fuel filter for a while you might look to replace it,
Secondly go to some shop and ask them measure fuel pressure it should be study

You are lucky guys. I am getting 17-18mpg in mixed driving, Whenever I press Shiftlock I haven't seen any change in RPM, At 65MPH mostly engine is @ 2500 rpm

I cleaned MAF & its connector after hearing from you. MAF Connectors had slight white liquid on them. cleaned MAF & Connector with a dry paper towel. Car runs better now, but not perfect. I think if I should clean MAF with some commertial cleaner.

My volvo's cup of woes seems to be overflowing by day

My 850 surges badly on cursing speeds :( , higher the speed more it surge and its progressively getting worst. :evil:
Also I notices if I am driving under 40mph its fine and as speed increases surge also increase..

I have newer spark plugs ...

Looks like pretty much all hoses & rubber L Joints need change.
Is there any kit available on FCP ?

I wanted it to work soo badly. I was hoping it cures my gas milage ills but I should have thought more.

BTW rinse phase starts after 1500miles. May be miracle happens after that !!!
