The Search Is Finally Over! Found the problem it is a vacuum leak. Right under the thermostat housing a little bit in the back there is a black hose it runs behind the manifold the hose itself split a little a tiny bit and it's causing the noise. I did the screwdriver trick exactly how you mentioned and i did it in different spots on each component as well. Kinda of hard to pinpoint it. I'm going to post on another Volvo forum to see if anyone on there had a similar problem.
