As far as I know there's no exact formula for this, just because every car has a different amount of power loss on the way from the crank to the wheels. There's a calculater here that gives rough estimates;

Re: blower motor stops
Same happened to my 98 S70 last week, the blower motor stopped working after working very noisy for a few days. I removed the blower motor and cleaned it with a contact spray but cleaning did not make it work. So I took the blower motor to an electric motor repair shop, they took the motor apart and...

Re: S70T mileage
You kind of beat me to it....I was just about to send you a message and ask how much it is in Turkey so I could compare it with ours which is average $1.55 per litre for 95 RON but it does fluctuate a lot and nobody can ever find out why. For some incomprehensible reason apparently our oil prices a...

Re: S70T mileage
You guys in the USA still gotta be lucky, we're paying $8.73 USD/gallon of the 95 octane gas in Turkey. What's the current price over there?

Re: S70T mileage
My European version 1998 S70 T5 uses 95 octane. It's written in both the manual and under the fuel cover, and 95 is the lowest/cheapest octane gas you can find in Turkey.

Re: YIKES! Saab owners need your regrets.
What happened to Saab (and Volvo) is actually a crash course of how the American auto industry works these days. Let me explain; Any auto brand needs up to date technology, because they can not sell cars without it. So, what do you do if you do not have the technology? One choice is R&D; you res...

Re: 1/2 inch of water on drivers side 97 850 please help
Had the exact problem with my S70 this summer, the car was parked facing downhill (a very steep one) and found the drivers side footwell full of water after a hard rain. I could not trace the leak, but still think that it was the door seals. Never had such a problem on a level surface, the doors may...

Re: Brake rotors?
The physics science tells us that total friction force between the rotor and the pad does not change by the size of the contact area. This means that braking with larger pads and rotors will stop you at the same distance as smaller pads and rotors under normal conditions. Although total friction for...

Re: What does the secondary O2 sensor really do?
My 98 S70 T5 Euro does not and never had a secondary O2 sensor, I've replaced the Cat with a free flow silencer and the performance boost was incredible. Bosch website says that secondary O2 sensors are there to monitor if the Cat is doing good or not, I don't think it has anything to do with fuel/a...
