I don't know about the c70, but I dropped the auto transmission on my 95 850 to switch with another. It took me two days taking my time. I ended up using a chain fall with two ratchet straps to hoist the replacement transmission into place.

Something I noticed when I pulled in the driveway tonight. When I put the car in park, I noticed that the idle was jumping slightly from 900 to almost 1000rpms. The rpms kept going up and down, but only slightly between that range, and the engine was running smoothly. I'm stumped, any ideas?
