How hard is it to replace struts, spring seats and links? Dealer wants $1100 P&L...

Dealer is recommending I replace the timing belt, drive belt and tensioner. $375 for parts and total $1000! How hard is it do it yourself and how can I find out how?

1999 S80 Trunk not opening with remote. Dealer does not know if it a wire harness ($78) or switch ($124) so wants to replace both for $454. I asked if that came with a gun and a mask!! lol....Any ideas or help on how to figure out which it would be is greatly appreciated.

have a slow/slight oil leak. dealer can't find problem. suggested starting with changing breather box, seals, etc...come to find out that 'breather box' is code for PVC Oil Trap or Flame Trap. parts cost $120. labor is 7hrs at $116 per hour.
