Re: V70 new door strap problem

OK, sounds like I just need a longer screwdriver to pry it. Thanks, since it was in a vise and I couldn't get it to budge I thought I had really messed it up. I'll reinstall it and pull out a larger lever.

V70 new door strap problem

1998 V70 XC Morning, I bought a new OEM door strap and started to install it yesterday. The strap comes "loaded" (fully extended position) before I could bolt it all down the door was shut and caused the strap(the slide that gets bolted to the a-pillar) to close. Now I'm unable to pull the...

Re: 1993 960 wagon with very low heat output

Another thing I have noticed is the ACC isn't working properly. When I have it in ACC mode and on and high temp heat, the fan stays low like it doesn't read the proper temp. Does the coolant temp sensor send a value to the acc and control how much the fan kicks on. My thinking is that if there a pro...

Re: 1993 960 wagon with very low heat output

Hello again Mr. Bill. No codes, no flash. Was also thinking the same about air in the system. I think, been a few months, I had the heater on full. If I can get the two thermo bolts off without stripping I will change out the thermostat. If there is air in the system how can I fix it. I ran it yeste...

Re: 1993 960 wagon with very low heat output

More info: the coolant hose leading to the thermo is hot to the touch, the two for the heater core are warm but not hot like the thermo hose. Could I have a plug somewhere in the system or a low vacum presure that would only open the heater valve just a little bit. mike

1993 960 wagon with very low heat output

Hello, I have a 1993 960. Very low heat output at driving speeds with fan high. When I come to a stop the temp of the air drops even lower. The temp gauge reads normal and in the middle of the range. I have put in a new heater core in the summer, yesterday replaced the heater control valve and of co...

Bad Cam sensor, 3-1-4 code, still runs.

Hi all. 1993 960 with 3-1-4 code, car runs ok, disconected the cps and the cars runs the same as before. Why on this car does the it still runs with a bad/no cps not hooked up? 2nd I haven't tested the sensor ie volt meter, and the hook up looks good. By just discontecting it and the car runs the sa...

Re: ECU locations

Thank You sir!!

I have erased the code numerous times and it comes back within the first minute. It looks like an expensive part. Would it also decrease my mpg?

Re: ECU locations

One more thing, this is what it "looks" like blink-pause,blink-pause, blink-pause---long pause--blink-- long pause blink-pause,blink-pause blink (very short pause) blink. its the short pause ant the end of the code that is throwing me off it's quicker then the other.
