More info: the coolant hose leading to the thermo is hot to the touch, the two for the heater core are warm but not hot like the thermo hose. Could I have a plug somewhere in the system or a low vacum presure that would only open the heater valve just a little bit. mike

I have erased the code numerous times and it comes back within the first minute. It looks like an expensive part. Would it also decrease my mpg?

One more thing, this is what it "looks" like blink-pause,blink-pause, blink-pause---long pause--blink-- long pause blink-pause,blink-pause blink (very short pause) blink. its the short pause ant the end of the code that is throwing me off it's quicker then the other.
