2009 V70 P/W and Locks on left side have quit

Noticed this recently that power windows wouldn't go down. Car sat for several hours and all is ok. THEN, today went to unlock the car and..NOTHING. Then I discovered rear hatch and right side would unlock got in and managed to pry the drivers' lock button up. Is this a control module as the windows...

Re: 2007 V70 wagon Can't get new brake light bulb in

Same problem and TWO different Volvo shops couldn't get it in.. I found it easier to remove the taillight assembly and install it that way. No dropped parts. By the way, I also tied a fishing line around it so it wouldn't drop when my hand could no longer take the pain

Re: Buying advice for S80s

I've had an 740T5, 940, '97 850T5, a '99 S80 2.9 with currently 180,000 miles and it's actually been a decent car though too many electrical glitches. After reading an article from IPD the better choice is a 2005 and later S-80 T5. I drove a '04 T5 a week ago and the difference between '05 and '04 c...

2005 Head light wiper motor

What is involved to R&R the head light wiper motor on my 2005 S80 T5 sedan? This does not have the big bulky bumper cover the all-wheel wagon has.

got car started

I used Lee's jumper wire idea on the relay and it still didn't start. Then, rubber-malleted the gas tank and it did start. This car sits sometimes for weeks at a time. Can the in-tank pump be gunked up? What does pounding on the tank do or free-up? Where can I get a rebuild kit? Good news is it is a...

I read your relay repair and bought the pieces today but the old relay almost looks new. I've owned the car three years. Will jumper tomorrow. Thanks again

97 850T stalled wont start, pump relay? Pump? How do I tell?

97 850 T wagon 117K always runs fine. Went out this am and started right up, idled for ten mins then as I backed out, engine started to cut out and died. Wont start at all turns over fine. Acted like it was running out of fuel. Is pump relay under hood? I have no code reader available. Does it sound...

99 S80 2.9

I'm currently running Bosch in my '97 Turbo wagon. Somebody made those "OEM" plugs for Volvo. Either Bosch, Denso or NGK. Dealer inferred that these 2.9 6's ran better on OEM plugs but not so on NGKs I'm rather Volvo astute mechanically so changing anything is not an issue. Just didn't kno...

1999 S80 2.9 Major tune-up issues

I just got a call from the local Volvo store re: my S80 (non-turbo) had no fault codes for the ETM. They say it's the after market NGK plugs and that these cars just don't do well on after market plugs, It needs a fuel filter, and all coil packs as well as complete injection service. A mere $1400.00...

I don't know how I overlooked the first PDF that shows how to remove it and that's exactly what I needed along with your input re the crusie control lighting. Job well done.
