I have a 1999 S70 Volvo that surges and runs rough for the first minute or two after a cold start. It has never done this before and just seems to have started after having it's timing belt replaced.
It's my wife's car and she also seems to think it is slightly down on power. Ideas?

I had a similar problem. Compressor wouldn't come on. Went to a local A/C guy and he got the compressor to run a couple of times by grounding out the compressor to the engine. He ran a new ground wire to the compresor, charged the unit and all is well. The ground wire was broken but we couldn't tell...

Thanks for the response. I forgot to mention that the independent shop that checked it out said they had tried a new climate control unit and that the coolant charge was good and so was the a/c relay. They gave up

My daughter's 1991 740 air conditioner compress will not come on. Fuses are fine. We ran a ground shot to the compressor and got it to turn 1 time. The compressor seems fine as does the clutch.
