It was nice not having to worry if the engine would start in colder weather. Thanks everyone for your help; i...

Sometimes a bad engine coolant temperature sensor will cause the hard starting issue you describe. Faulty readings will over-enrich the mixture for "cold start" conditions. There is probably a volt/ohm meter test for this kind of thing, but I just replace the sensor. l am 90% this is his ...

Re: 1997 855 GLT flip it or keep it?
flip it and get a toyota or honda for your daughter. volvos can be a pain to maintain if you dont have any experience with cars. especially if you dont know how to turn a wrench. l would not spend more money on a volvo that has not been maintained well. plus volvo parts are expensive and its not rec...

Re: cranks, won't start
you are not getting enough fuel pressure because of the wire you pinched l guess. did the wire come off all the way? check the fuel injector with the pinched wire and make sure the injector is a clicking sound with the car running.

Re: 1995 850 turbo wagon

Re: 1995 850 turbo wagon
first l want you to test if you are getting enough fuel pressure. you can go to any autostore and get a gauge and hook it up on the fuel rail. turn the key to III position, do not start the car, take the reading for the pressure. pressure should be between 38-40 on a cold engine. if you are below th...
