Re: Need an XC70 cross country expert opinion!
Thank you. So are you saying the 2000 with some of the same setup as an 850 is a bit more reliable than 2001 and up? Are the 98 or 99 XC's more reliable than the 2000?

Need an XC70 cross country expert opinion!
Hi everyone, my 1999 V70R is keeping too expensive to upkeep and there are a few things coming down the road that I know are going to be big $$. I'm looking at selling and moving to a more "practical" AWD like the cross country. I'd really love to stay with Volvo since I've owned 4. BUT, I...

1999 V70R black/black new PHOTOS
Thinking of selling my beloved Volvo and going to a :::gasp::: BMW . I have a 1999 V70R that has been great. The car has 180,000 miles and I'm the 3rd owner who has had it for 2 years (a doctor bought it new and a professor had it after that). The car has a new driveshaft (about 15,000 miles ago), t...

'99 V70R and a P1332 code (cam shaft)
Good morning! About 6 weeks ago I had a code for a large Evap leak- evident from a rough and pulsating idle between 800-1050 RPM's. I replaced the MAF sensor but that didn't work. There is not really a rough idle anymore but not I do have to give the car quite a bit of gas when I turn the key on. So...

Sticky clutch and a leak.. 1996 850 wagon
Hey everyone, First of all, thanks...this forum is AWESOME. You all have been really helpful. Last weekend we took my wife's 1996 850GLT wagon with manual transmission to NY and back (about 450 miles). When I was backing it into the driveway, the clutch stuck to the floor and I couldn't change gears...

99 V70R EVAP/engine surge/P0455 code
Hi all, I've been having an engine surge for a while now..check engine light was on and a few codes came up- one of which was for the MAF sensor. I bought a new one to replace, and it seemed to help a little, but now we are back to where it was. Engine surges from 800-1,000 RPM's in part and often s...
