Re: 850 - 2.0 Engine (LH ECU) replaced with 2.5 (B52524FS) - Is ECU replacement necessary as well?
Thank you guys for the information, it seems like this is as complex as I thought it would be then, maybe even more. I might look into replacing the engine again with one that is more in line with my car with its current set up, if I can't find the appropriate items to handle the modifications you m...

I know the MAF is connected and working (to an extent), because when I disconnect it, the engine starts rumbling, and then dies, unless I connect again. The IAC is also connected and causes some rumbling when disconnected as well. As for the ECT, I don't know its location, but I don't think it would...

850 - 2.0 Engine (LH ECU) replaced with 2.5 (B52524FS) - Is ECU replacement necessary as well?
I live in Egypt, where mechanics handle things in a not so scientific way, so when my previous engine (2.0 with LH ECU, I don't know the engine model) went bad, the mechanic said the best solution was to replace it. He replaced it with the only engine he could find in 'good' condition. (The new engi...

Re: 850 - Broken OBD 1 port - can't find replacement
Thank you for your answer, Ozark Lee. Unfortunately, there are no salvage yards here. Everything goes to the hands of used parts dealers, and 850 parts are quite rare in Egypt, unlike other older Volvos. Well the wire issue was easy, but the temporary fix the mechanic used meant the plastic assembly...

850 - Broken OBD 1 port - can't find replacement
My OBD 1 port has broken because my mechanic used to open it to attach a small wire to be used for reading the codes after the original wire was lost ( I bought the car that way). From opening and closing too many times, the button used to read the codes had one of its plastic pins broken, and one o...

Will 2004 xenon headlights fit on a 2000 s80?
I have a 2000 S80 with regular headlights, and I found 2004 xenon headlights for a good price, but I'm not sure if they will fit in my car, and I also want to know if they do fit, will there be a problem in changing from regular headlights to xenon headlights or not? I'd appreciate any help with thi...
