Oops! I broke my door.
Okay so it's no broken. I pulled off my front passenger side door panel. What I was hoping to do was access the other side of my door skin. There's quite a large dent in the from passenger side door that was there when I bought it. Everything in the door worked fine (speaker, power locks, door handl...

So i swapped out my MAF with an extra my uncle had lying around. ( he has three volvo's including an 850 wagon same year as mine. Seemed a little better but not by much. He looked sort of behind the the power steering fluid pump and there was a little hose that seemed to go into the intake manifold ...

Re: Cleaning DIY: 850 IAC (Idle Air control valve) cleaning
When i got the code the computer said bank one was running to rich. Which for what you said would explain why i'm filling my tank every 3 or four days :/ I'll most likely be going up to my uncle's within the next few days as he is replacing the front end rotors and pads for me and essentially showin...

Re: Cleaning DIY: 850 IAC (Idle Air control valve) cleaning
Thank You, I unplugged the cable connected to the MAF and it seems to idle at a more consistent rate as opposed to when it is connected. Looks like I'll be buying a new MAF.
Is it a simple disconnect the hose slide out the old one slide in the new one re attach hose and plug it in jobby?

Re: Cleaning DIY: 850 IAC (Idle Air control valve) cleaning

The day i got plates i drove it around quite a bit, again its my first car and i was very excited plus the thing is just so much fun to drive. ...

Re: Cleaning DIY: 850 IAC (Idle Air control valve) cleaning
I've had my 850 for 3 weeks now. Drives fine. But i am having this problem. CEL is on and reading P0171. Bank 1 system too rich. My family mechanic is saying it's an o2 sensor. He also told me he needed to call a guy he deals with when he gets european cars to talk to him about it. 2 weeks later I h...
