Hi..
Im here looking for answers to a prob with my GF's car...but
On my Astra, I had the same issue...turned out it was a smashed up Sparkplug....Detonation wear!
Have a look at them..assuming your not on diesel?

Fuel Filter change 1999 S40 D Phase 2
Hi Thanks for looking In looking at a guide on changing a fuel filter for an S40, the type im using is different to the one ive seen.... this is the type, screw fitting one end like the oil filter, offset nipple at the other.. http://art.rexbo.net/mann/bmp/200/453.jpg can anyone give me any guidance...
