Re: MAF Sensor

I purchased a MAF from eBay and even though it said it was the right part, it didn't work (caused my Vovlo 960 to idle very rough). When I bought a "used" one from eBay with the same part number, it worked fine.

Re: 1996 Volvo 960 Engine Oil Leak Passenger side near bolts

After doing many things to my volvo, I decided to wash the engine. A couple of days later, I thought for sure I had a oil leak. What happened is the water accumulated under the black cover and would seep out while driving making seem like I had oil burning. It actually smelled a little as well. I co...

Re: 1993 960 Sedan just bought: $700, full service history

I have 2 960 and love the cars. A 1995 which I've owned since new and a 1997 that I've had for about a year. I found some common problems and have some thoughts on your plan. 1. The seat pulling to one side rather than moving is a common problem. Not the motor but a cable comes off the motor. You ne...

Re: 1998 S90 Driver's power seat stuck

I did find this article that gives you a step by step. I will be using it again as my passenger seat now is having the same issue.

Re: 1998 S90 Driver's power seat stuck

Although some say you can leave the seat in the car, I had to take mine out to reach. There are 3 motors and cables and I think it is the cable/motor closest to the center console. I will do some research and try to find the video/article.

Re: 1995 960 dealer parts price gouging

Also OEM parts have long gone past the time of being readily available. 112 at a dealer in stock or 70 online that is the price of a building lights employees etc. Actually all the "online vendors" were dealers and the actual price to me was more like $60. The issue is they had a consiste...

Re: 1995 960 dealer parts price gouging

I am a regular customer of fcpeuro. They have great service and stand by their parts. Sadly, they did not have this part available.

Re: 1998 S90 Driver's power seat stuck

I did repair my 960 with the same issue using a video I can't seem to find. You have to trim the insulation for a cable that slips out of the drive.

I think it was on youtube from RobertDIY. You can send him an email, he usually responds.

1995 960 dealer parts price gouging

My local dealer in Southern California seems to be price gouging. I needed a new accelerator cable part number 3547300. I googled it and there are various dealers that have a list price of $70ish with a "your price" of $60ish. I went to my dealer and he wanted $112 for it. I pushed back an...

Re: AC compressor free at last, free at last

Mr. JDS60R As far as removing the compressor on a 1996 era 960 the hardest part, after the shock of the two bolts that you cannot remove from the vehicle is the top left bolt towards the firewall. It is buried. I spent some time on various approaches to that and finally managed to get a close end 1...
