1996 Volvo 850 GLT: The car starts fine when cold. Turn the key and wallam starts and runs at idle just fine. After running for 5 minutes and turning off, then restart is a different story. Thanks Lee,
I have tried the grounding of the 2 wires y & w/y and they both turn on the fan. I tested with key off, engine cold. Where else could the problem be?

What should be the voltage at the solenoid from the key circuit? Or what should the voltage be at the green wire that activates the solenoid?

This has been disappointing news. The reason I bought the Innova 3150b is that it is suggested by Mathews blog. I was hoping that the codes would help me solve the immobilazation features. I can jump the starter ( Won't start with key) but I have no spark.

Starter circuit
The engine won't start with the key. in the Chilton book it showes from the key to a anti theft relay. Where is this relay located. What procedure would be needed to trace the starter circuit? 1996 850 volvo
