I just purchced the Innova 3150b and don't know how to program it for a Volvo 850. It doesn't read the codes from the vehical computer. Where do I start?

It should be plug and play as far as engine codes go. The ABS/SRS setup is likely unique and will require some setup.
A 3150b is on my short list but I may make the jump into the deep end with the 3160. I need ABS and SRS diagnostics but I also want real time monitoring of engine performance.

I thought the 3150 only did domestic abs codes and no srs at all. I may be mistaken, but thats the reason I got rid of my innova.
Get an autel eu702 that does all European abs and srs. You can also add Japanese and domestics to the unit if you ask the right person for the files.
Or you can get an autel us703 and add the euro and domestic files to it. All the fr/us/eu/jp models are the same unit it with just different files on them.
I like my autel way better than my old innova. In my opinion it has a more durable case and the interface is not as clunky as the innova.

This has been disappointing news. The reason I bought the Innova 3150b is that it is suggested by Mathews blog. I was hoping that the codes would help me solve the immobilazation features. I can jump the starter ( Won't start with key) but I have no spark.

Currently I'm using Dice/Vida (pirated copy) for my '99 and 2000 V70s and it appears to be OK as far as resetting SRS codes and measuring some really funky stuff like the current consumed by a seat belt latch while in use/not in use. I can see how the Volvo techs can use this to really pinpoint problems on all models. However it can't help you to reload software as it can't uplink to the s/w database as it's not licensed.
Of course you can't use Vida on a pre '99 car.
