Re: Step by Step - Replacing the starter motor 1998 S70
Thanks for the tips. I used the same concept on my 2002 V70, 135,000 miles. The car wouldn't start 3 times over the last two days. No noise, no clicks, all the lights lit up but silence. I called the dealer as I had an appointment. He said to tap the solenoid a few times with a wrench or hammer. I h...

Re: Gauge Cluster and Suspension Questions
After searching the internet, I decided to have my cluster remanufactured. I have a 2002 V70 with 130,000 miles. I saw that buying a used cluster could work, but the numbers ontop of the clusters need to match. I didn't see one on ebay that matched. I tried to reheat the chips. That temporarily work...

Re: Sunshade won't close on 02 XC70
I have a 2002 V70, 135,000 miles. That happened to me. I replaced the guides on top of the sunshade. The old ones were ruined and one damaged the accordion shade. There is a youtube video showing it. It was very easy to fix. The guides were only US$6.50 each from the dealer, I bought two. I replaced...

Re: ? Drilling hole in Poly Mount (Upper Torque Mount)
I replaced mine on my 2002 V70, 130,000 miles. I used an OEM part from the dealer. It was very quick and easy to do. There is a youtube video showing how to do it. It was very simple.

Re: V70 Rear Seat Stuck in Upright Position
Very easy to replace the release button following the directions above. I just paid about $11 at the dealer for the new piece. The seat of my 2002 V70 works fine again. I also put a little grease on the slides on the passenger and driver sides to prevent sticking.

Re: Turn signal problem
I was having a problem with my turn signal, 2002 V70. I would push it up or down, it would light once then stop. I would have to keep pushing it up or down to keep the light blinking. I bought a used turn signal switch on ebay for $30. It took about 1/2 hour to take out the old one and put in the ne...

Re: Alarm System Service Required
I knew I needed to replace the siren on my 2002 V70 after I broke it and the headlight by sliding on ice into a guardrail. When I removed the headlight, I saw the broken siren and removed the old one. I got a similar price for a new one, I think at the time it was $165 plus tax. I decided to pass on...

Re: Low Pressure A/C Port on '01 and newer Volvo's..hard to
I just added freon, 134, to my 2002 V70, 134,000 miles. As stated above, the low pressure port is below the coolant reservoir and the power steering reservoir in the engine compartment on the passenger side by the tire. Very easy to lift the tanks out of the way to gain access. It was hard to reach ...

It looks like the Kodak Gallery is closed as of July 2012. Everything is moving to Shutterfly. I'm not sure if we'll have access to the pictures anymore.

Re: AC question..
I may have had a leak in my AC. How do I know if I had a leak of AC Ester oil? A greenish slimy oil with a funny smell came out. I see I can buy that separately. The AC is not blowing cold air. How to I add that, and how much, as well as freon to a 2002 V70? Thanks for any help
