Swapping S/V-70 wiper assembly into 850?
I've got a 1995 850 GLE wagon. The transmission on my front wipers has pooched and a quick search of the local scrapyards has turned up a 98 V-70 that is being parted out. My question is whether I can swap the wiper assembly from the V-70 directly into my 850? If not, are at least the motor ...

Re: 1995 850 Washer pump stopped
Both were used Volvo pumps, top one was the same year, bottom was from a V-70, i think a 98.
The Cdn Tire pump required me to cut wires and wasn't an OEM fit. Volvo wanted around $90 for the factory pump.

Re: 1995 850 Washer pump stopped
You were right. I burned the motor (which my mechanic tells me that, after 18 years, was at the end of its life)
Replaced both motors and the check valve for the rear window and we're all friends again. Now I can see behind me.
A quick note for anyone else trying to figure out the rear ...

1995 850 Washer pump stopped
Ok, I'm pulling my hair out on this one. 95 850 Wagon. I was troubleshooting why my rear washer pump wasn't working. In the course of events I pulled the front washer pump (the one that sits down into the top of the tank). I checked the contacts on the pump, then reinstalled it without connecting ...

Re: DIY: 1998 Volvo V70 Rear Shock Absorber (BilsteinTC) & S
First, this is a great guide. Thanks for providing it.
I have a question...I when I was reinstalling the shocks, one of the upper mounting bolts wouldn't "take", i.e., it just spins in the hole and never gets tight. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks again

Re: Fix for slow wipers
Thanks for this article. Just did the job and my wipers are working again!
One thing I'd like to add is that the plastic cap on my passenger side wiper was cracked and that one had the worse corrosion. The cap on the driver's side was intact and that side had no corrosion. I'm probably going to ...
