For those still wondering about hitting the linkage, try pulling the heater out just a little and blocking it there, you will clear the linkage no problem. The o-ring must snap into the plastic case, don't try to force it, you can but it is extra work, everything should snap into place. Just pushing...

I took out the torx screws, but the fuse board seems locked to the box. There are snaps on the front, can't see any on the back. Should I just keep prying? Does it snap off? Don't want to break it unless necessary... Or should I take the shroud off under the steering wheel, no snap-open fuse box see...
