Cracked valve cover on removal - 94 volvo 850
So while removing bits to pull the head, I cracked the valve cover. I think this was from putting uneven stress on the camshaft while removing from the head. The bit which is broken (I think) is mainly responsible for preventing too much lateral play in the shaft. Do I need to replace the valve ...

Following up: I cleaned all chassis ground connections, then disassembled and tested the fuel pump relay. The contacts were tarnished/burned - I cleaned them and re-assembled. The car regained fuel pressure and started.

I have my DiCE up and running. Cleared all codes, the following appear after cranking:
CEM-3A07 - Fuel pump faulty signal
ECM-291B - Fuel pump control module - Signal Missing
Will follow up with checking all ground connections, check for open circuits, and swap fuel pump relays. More to come.

Re: 95 Turbo - Crank but no start, flashing arrow
Few months ago, I had crank but no start with up flashing arrow. It was not the PNP switch -- my TPS sensor had finally worn out. The transmission computer module picked up the error before the ECU, and flagged. The transmission control module uses throttle position to help compute upshift/downshift ...

Car: 2005 Volvo S40, 5Cyl Turbo engine B5254T3. Quarter tank of gas.
Problem: Zero fuel pressure at the rail, zero trace of fuel. Immobilizer is not activated, car will fire on starting fluid, but not otherwise. Display says "Reduced engine performance". You can hear some noise from the fuel pump ...

Re: Volvo 850 is toe-in after accident, even with both tie rods adjusted all the way in
Is it possible the tie rod arm on the spindle is bent?
Yep. I measured both sides relative to each other, and the rod arm on the spindle is pulled in about 15mm. I am not sure I would have thought of this on my own, so thank you so much for the suggestion.
As far as the insurance situation, I ...

Volvo 850 is toe-in after accident, even with both tie rods adjusted all the way in
1994 Volvo 850 base -- long time listener, second-time caller.

For some reason, I thought A6 1-5-4 was EGR too high. Thank you for correcting me. Testing shows no vacuum at the EGR diaphragm. Tracing back, I show 12 volts being applied on the EGR Controller, showing it's calling for vacuum (I think). Testing the EGR Controller, I show an open circuit ...

1994 N/A 850 - Recurring CEL (EGR flow too high in system)
Hello friends. Longtime lurker, first time poster.
I have a 1994 N/A 850, 160k miles. I have replaced the entire PCV contraption, removed and cleaned the intake manifold, and cleaned the EGR valve itself thoroughly as well as the sensor. Additionally all vacuum hoses and elbows are tight, and ...
