Re: '01 v70 base, limp home, no codes, terrible rumble at st
Vida says that any voltage fluctuation detected by the ETM (caused by a loose connection or broken or shorting wire in the Control Area Network(CAN)) will cause the ETM to signal the ECM to go into limp mode even though the fault might not be with the ETM or the ECM. I'm still working on locating my...

Re: '01 v70 base, limp home, no codes, terrible rumble at st
Neither! BUT I just looked it up. What is the cheapest way in? Can it do a lot? I'll research tommorrow but if you could share your wisdom I would be very appreciative. My vehicle is a 2001 V70XC AWD with 217,000 mi so I don't need the latest model. I'm finding out that I have hardly kept pace with ...

Re: '01 v70 base, limp home, no codes, terrible rumble at st
I properly disconnected Pin #2 and soldered black wire from Sacer to same. So, I am to remove the ETM to the bench; open the Aluminum cover; Attach (12V) to green+ and Brown- at the plug and take readings from 1&3 and 2&4. Desired result is equal readings. I saw somewhere that the input volt...

Re: '01 v70 base, limp home, no codes, terrible rumble at st
I have similar symptoms, but I get a PO121 Code; Throttle/pedal Position sensor/switch"A" circuit range/performance problem. I got a Sacer TPS sensor cap after limping home, and installed it very carefully. Erased the codes, started up, same result, limp mode, 2K rpm max, PO121. Are there ...
