The light keeps returning.

Is there an easy way to clean the thing, or am I probably going to need to get it replaced?

I have a 99glt wagon. It's a princess. I haven't had the nightmares that some people have, but I do have some annoying things going on (like my coolant sensor light that I need to smack with a shoe to make go away, and a Check Engine light that's been on for a year). Next question: how do I remove it with those weird hex-head (with post) screws? It doesn't look like I could get a driver in there.

I think I'm going to end up replacing this, but I just want to make sure that THIS is the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

I'm talking about the part with the plug plugs into.



Also, how would I remove it?

Before heading off to lunch, I popped the hood, and while I had an audience of coworkers, I shook and smacked (with my shoe) the coolant overflow tank.

I got in, turned the key and no more warning light.

Ahh the joys of Volvo ownership.
