Just a note, I called a Volvo dealer up to get the price on the vacuum switch..they could not find one for my car. They have the pump, but no switch listed. Could it be that the switch is intergrated with the pump?

ok.. my guess is that the fuse is ok..I was afraid that both parts were faulty..Do you know where I could get the parts? I looked at FCP and they have no listing on the parts.

Hi all, My 2006 C70 seems to have a problem with the Brake vacuum booster. It was making noise(on) for no apparent reasom after the car was shut off. Now it makes no noise at all and the brakes feel like I need to press hard on the pedal to stop. Could this be a bad vucuum pump or a vacuum switch? I...

YUP.. New MAF did the trick..what a strange problem...

Here is what I did today.... I decided to run the car without the MAF connected...it started and ran fine for over 20min and did not shut off. I shut it off and started it again.. it ran for another 20 min with no problems.. then while it was running I connected the MAF harness..it shut right off!! ...

Tried checking the ECU connectors and soackets .. all ok..

I just noticed that the CEL does not come on at all. I mean, when you turn the key and all the lights display.. the CEL does not come on.. I would think that it should light and then go out once the engine has started..

Yes, when it stalls ( just stops.. no sputtering or warning)..the usual dash lights come on..the radio plays..etc... No codes displayed on my OBDII reader. But that may be because the battery died and wiped out any codes. The reader goes thru its cycle and returns a "E".. which is odd.. Da...

OK.. I replaced the hose and still stalling after about 10 min. Not sure where to look next.. the fuel pressure seems to be ok..there is plenty of fuel at the valve when is stalls. Could it be a clogged converter?
