Chuck W - if you're still following this, I would be interested in knowing what you did with this lower support bracket when you put the R-style manifold on your '96. Modify it? Omit it?

Thanks Neil, that would work. I think I'm all set, I'll either make a new bracket or acquire a drop-in Japanifold. Not sure at the moment.

A change is motivated by cracks in the manifold (and possible future leaks). Flow improvement is not the driving force.
