Re: Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
I've got the 2 vacuum hoses fixed. one replaced to the purge valve connection and the other one was fixed by cutting it shorter to cut off the split portion. The idle is much better, but still a little rough. I wonder if the spark plugs are bad now.

Re: Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
okay, i found a connector under the air intake at the front of the grill that wasn't fulled snapped together, I think that fixed the non-starting. Now I've got bad idling again, but I think it's due to the 2 vacuum hoses were spilt. I couldn't trace the destination of the red stripe hose. Where is a...

Re: Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
No crank.
I got it to start again bit now it just cranks, doesn't turn. I did this by detaching the intake plastic cover t ge at faces the grill. Somehow that helped.
Does having 2 vaccum fuel hoses spilt prevent cranking?
Thank you

Re: Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
I checked the MAF sensor area, cleaned out the air filter compartment that held the box. wiggled a couple of connection plugs that I took out yesterday. Then it started!!! Then I checked my purge valve connection hose and tried to get it off to see the size and ripped another hole it. The hose that ...

Re: Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
That hose is the purge valve connection, just replace it with fuel hose of the right diameter and clamp the ends. You need both check valves on these hoses. I did a write up with pictures in a thread about a cold idle problem in case you need a diagram but it's pretty simple. The throttle body does...

What if the hoses on the fuel valve connection wont come off easily. What's a good way to remove them.

Cleaned ETM and now my 1999 S70 won't start
My idle was starting to act up and I decided to clean the ETM on my 1999 S70 Turbo. It was my first time to clean the ETM. I took out the fan, disconnected hoses and electrical connectors as the videos I watched demonstrated. I've got electricity from the battery as my lights and everything electron...
