Hi guys. Thanks for all the support. As I mentioned, I have the car on sale now. I got me a 2003 BMW 530. Hope this one will have less problems, and no hidden BS like the ETM (which the dealer deals with it as he likes - aka change it when it's too late, and probably some more damage inflicted to th...

ETM upgrade for the worst

Did the ETM (software) upgrade today. The car was running smooth before, just the annoying check engine light come and go once in a while (message: emission system service required). After the "upgrade", when I start the car, the revs would go to the normal 1400rpm (cold start), then (befo...

So I have my car booked for an appointment at the dealer to upload the ETM software (cuz I had that emission problem light already a few times come and go - no problems with the car, no power loss, no engine noises, no nothing - just the warning message). Now having the upgrade done, will the ETM st...

Thanks again JRL. You were right they are 7.5". I was confused. A while ago when I swapped the Almatheas with the winters, I took a look at some wheels a friend of mine had. They were 8", and these got stuck in my memory. Here are the pics: [img] [img=http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/653...

Thanks JRL. I will try those spacers and the stops, but this will happen in spring sometime. The wheels came off an S80 (friend of mine), who installed different wheels on his. The wheels are made in Germany and look original to me, but who knows?
Thanks again

I am not sure what PEGS means? The 17" x 8" Volvo calls them Amalthea, but they say they are 17" x 7.5" (which is not true on mine - the stencil stamp is clear 17" x 8"). As I mentioned I have some old Pirelli's(P 6000 Sport Veloce 235 x 45 x 17), but I have to change t...

17" Rims on S60 '01 - '02 models and tire rubbing

I have an extra set of 17" wheels (Volvo OEM 17" x 8") with some 235 Pirrelli's. I use them in the summer. The thing is, they rub on the inside. The stock 15" I use with good winters on them. i asked the dealer about it and the reply was that they have them as option for the S60 ...

Easy come, easy go... Just when I wanted to take off to a friend of mine who has the OBD II, the message dissapeard (same as it came on). Strange to say at least, but I don't complain about the fact that it's gone. Has anybody else experienced that before?

So if the potentiometer does not move, how is the throttle response activated? Will it stay at a preset "open/close" position? I don't understand. The fuel consumption might go up too? And F#@!k, I just got the engine check light on with the message "Emission System Service Required&q...
