Had the car sat for any period of time? I suspect it did before I bought it; it had 140k miles when I bought it early 2012, and the timing belt decal shows it was changed on 2003 @ 118k... so 22k miles over 8-9 years probably involved some sitting. That said, it's been driven daily since I've had it.

I have a 92 740 wagon with about 160k miles. I just noticed in the past few days that, seemingly within the 1st few miles of driving after cold, sometimes when I come to a stop, then try to accelerate, the engine will rev some before the gear re-engages... it won't usually do it more than once or tw...
