Got any pics as to what went bad on the shaft. My '05 2.5 was doing something similar but after getting new tires it went away. Still a slight shimmy but guy at Firestone said it was the rotors. The rotors are less than a year old and they feel ok.

My 2005 XC90 2.5T was doing the same thing. I pulled off the coils from a '99 S70 to get me through a trip and it did alright. I ordered some used ones from Tom's Foreign Auto Parts and they have been ok. I have the platinum plugs install but I still get a slight surging when idle. No variation seen...
