I second the advice to get a scanner. Codes are not the only thing you are looking for. You need to be able to observe behavior and read actual data. Like: what are the actual values of the long-term fuel trim? Do they go up or down as you accelerate and/or drive around town? Are they high when you ...

Still same concern... If I use the ugga dugga tool to get it off...and then back on... Will I kill the timing belt? Do you usually replace that as a matter of course when replacing the crank pulley for that reason?

Wait dikidera, that's kind of genius, will it work? When you backflush, how do you set it up? And do you use the drain plug as an exit port? Seems like you would need some sort of pump to make it work, no? To pump fluid into the transmission from the top of the radiator?

Hi guys, I am about to tackle this as one of my wagons has clear runout on the pulley (just spotted yesterday doing an oil change).

I presume that the pulley can be removed without removing the timing belt, just by removing the four bolts that hold it to the timing gear? Hoping my midrange impact ...

FWD conversion "until further notice" done. Have put a few hundred miles on it already, seems to be holding fine.

Well... I finally got outside today (it's been a busy couple of months) to pull the drive shaft and angle gear and see where we are.

Where we are is that the collar sleeve is fine, but the teeth on the angle are 100% destroyed, almost nonexistent. I suspect this will be a permanent FWD vehicle ...

Ah. @scot850 that is good intel. I'm trying to remember the inner diameter of that axle seal, but basically, something like this would do the trick, no?
