After warming the can in the sun, I was able to get more of the freon to move. After a couple more charging sessions, I got the pressure up to 35psi with the compressor on. Done. The low pressure switch is bad and I'll see if I can get one at the junkyard tomorrow. I'll post back when the replacemen...

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I misunderstood which Motronic I had. I have the ELM327 BT and can use it to get the basic engine DTCs (current CEL is a P0455 which I'm working on). What I was hoping was to get some info back from the electronic climate control ecu, as my ac just quit yesterday....

Using pin 3, I get nothing back from my new homemade tool, no flashes after the momentary contact, although I do have a CEL. Using pin 6, the tool does seem to work, flashing out an error 325 from the ECC. So I know the tool is wired correctly. Any ideas? The car is a 1996 Volvo 850 wagon, no turbo....

Hi Mike, I just got back to this thread. I have been chasing this issue as a fuel delivery problem, as it feels like the car is running out of gas, although there is gas in the tank. If I am driving, i can slip into neutral, feather the gas and keep it running, which again seems like a fuel problem....
